“Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”? (Ephesians 5:22–33)
Dr. Bill Cook

  1. On one side of this passage is the command to “be filled with the Spirit,” and on the other is the reality of cosmic conflict.
  2. If you are a husband, God commands you to love your wife as he loves the church. Your wife is God’s gift to you.
  3. If you are a wife, God commands you to submit to your husband’s leadership in the home and honor him as you submit to and honor Jesus. Your husband is God’s gift to you.
  4. What do you do with this passage if you are single? You do exactly what Jesus and Paul did.
  5. Don’t overlook that this passage is primarily about Christ Jesus’ deep and abiding love for the church—the people, not the building.
